Hun Ohm

Hun joined the firm in July 2006. He is a partner in the firm's entertainment/intellectual property practice. His practice includes advising video game, film and television entertainment companies and other intellectual property holders and businesses in connection with a wide variety of transactional matters, including video game development, publishing and distribution deals, merchandising and licensing deals, agency deals, co-production and shopping deals, options and rights deals, book publishing deals, television and feature film deals, strategic partnerships, and other business transactions. 

Hun is also actively involved in the development, coordination, management and implementation of global brand protection programs, including trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement. In addition, he counsels clients on a variety of copyright, trademark and other related matters, including public domain considerations, fair use, chain of title analysis, and right of publicity issues. He also works closely with clients on trademark and copyright matters that arise in connection with corporate transactions, in particular with venerable entertainment and literary properties. 

Hun is a member of the International Trademark Association and served two terms on the Right of Publicity Committee (2018, 2016). Prior to joining the firm, Hun was Assistant General Counsel at a consumer products company in New York City where he handled general corporate legal matters and trademark-related issues. He began his career in the New York City office of Morgan Lewis, where he assisted clients with all aspects of trademark prosecution and enforcement. 

Hun graduated magna cum laude from nearby Amherst College and received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He has been a guest lecturer/panelist at the Boston Bar Association, Northeastern University School of Law, the Law of Digital Games Conference, and the WriteAngles Conference.
