June 2023

MAE STILES has become a partner in the firm. Her practice concentrates on complex commercial litigation, but also includes representation of a wide variety of intellectual property holders in matters ranging from licensing transactions to international arbitration. A Northampton native, Mae has 11 years of experience working for major New York and San Francisco law firms in complex commercial litigation, including antitrust and intellectual property matters, as well as a business, corporate and licensing transactions.

Sadie A. Reynolds joined the firm in 2023 as an associate in the housing and litigation departments. Previously, she was the Legal Clinic Director at the Hampden County Bar Association where she assisted pro se litigants in multiple areas of law, including housing and civil litigation, represented parties in in Western Division Housing Court, and created and developed new programs to assist the underserved in Western Massachusetts and expanded access to justice and legal services.

August 2022

DANIEL L. FIERST has become a partner of the firm effective July 1, 2022. A graduate of the University of Colorado and the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth School of Law, Dan began his career as in-house counsel for Wargaming.net in its Austin, TX location. Since joining the firm in 2016, Dan has focused on assisting the firm’s film, television, and video game clients with their transactional, licensing and intellectual property matters. Dan is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Florida.

FREDERICK U. FIERST and DAVID C. BLOOMBERG were recently named as 2022 Massachusetts and New England Super Lawyers. Fred was honored as an Entertainment & Sports Super Lawyer for the 15th consecutive year and David as a Real Estate Super Lawyer.

May 2019

JONATHAN J. KANE joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2005. He has been appointed as Associate Justice of the Housing Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His last formal day at the firm will be May 31, 2019.

SUSAN L. COOPER has become a partner in the firm. Attorney Cooper has more than 25 years of experience representing businesses of all types and sizes, from sole proprietors to international corporations. Her primary areas of practice include transactional matters such as business acquisitions and sales, corporate reorganizations, advising startups, and commercial lending. Susan is a graduate of Cornell University and the George Washington University National Law Center.

Mae is a graduate of the University of Vermont and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She is admitted to practice in the State and Federal courts of Massachusetts, New York and California.

2018

NICHOLAS GRIMALDI has become a partner in the firm. Mr. Grimaldi joined our firm in 2014 and has over 18 years of experience as a lawyer. His practice will continue to focus on representing individuals, businesses and financial institutions in corporate transactions, real estate and secured lending, entertainment and interactive media law, creditor’s rights, and commercial matters. Mr. Grimaldi is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Madison and the Boston University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island (inactive).

2017

PETER T. LANE has joined Of Counsel to the firm. Attorney Lane has 10 years of experience representing individuals and businesses in civil and criminal litigation, including commercial litigation, landlord-tenant law, criminal defense and civil rights. Peter is a graduate of Fordham University and Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practice in the State and Federal courts of Massachusetts and New York.
